I appreciate the sound design. You made do with what you had but it gets very grating after a while. Some kind of randomization or pitch shifting would go a long way to improve the listenability of the game.
Overall, the game controls well I would say. The way the trees approach is rather strange but accurate to the original game. My biggest complaint about the movement of the game is the turning. It feel like the turning is very slow and doesn't give me the feeling of turning around in an open space but instead it seems more like I can only swerve left and right on an endless track.
I can't speak more praises on the sound effects (gave me a good laugh)! Although the obstacles were tough to navigate from the distance, I eventually got used to it and was able to play the game smoothly. The sprites were well done as well.
I've got to say, I very much enjoyed the sfx. I did like your new sprites, but I did find that movement felt a bit rough, as it felt unresponsive, and the trees seemed to ignore any movement at the start. Additionally, I felt the hit-boxes felt a bit too unforgiving, and I couldn't play for long before dying.
Though I find it somewhat difficult to gauge my distance from oncoming obstacles, the game controls smoothly overall. I don't need to tell you that the sound effects are hilarious, but I've gotta be a bit of a bummer here and note that I found the game, for lack of a better term, annoying to play for more than a couple of minutes at a time thanks to their repetitive monotony. Then again, the original 3D Deathchase was the same way, so let's call it even.
Perfect Sound Effect! The control is really smooth. It's kind of hard to survive when the speed is high. Sometimes those trees' movements are a little bit unpredictable when speed is up. But the "in range" checker definitely helps a lot. Great work!
Truly incredible sound effects, and the feel is much smoother than my experiences with the original. Getting the in-range notifier and launching a shot feels great. The trees are the most significant issue, as their location is hard to parse and it felt slightly out of my control as to whether I would hit them or not. Great work overall though!
the trees are terrifying, and they pop to my face too fast and sudden, i guess it is due to the different frame rate to the game view in editor, except it isn't. :>
the "in range" indicator is clearer than the original game, could be a good or bad thing...
hope to see the $ and High Score tho.
as mentioned the scary tress make it so difficult, I didn't get to the night patrol...
