I love this. The cracking is nice but perhaps there could be more juice added to it? I smashed my mouse pad to crack a million eggs. The brain is fun surprise and I like the use of dictionary for the names. The baby crying is on point too. All you really need here is that little bit more of juice to make it truly shine as the game of century. Amazing work!! <3
This egg is great! I have to say the way the egg shell breaks apart and falls to the ground looks really good! I agree with some of the other commenters that heightening the feedback while trying to break the egg would encourage me to continue to do it. I also think it could be really cool if the time/clicks it took to break the egg was based on the length of the word the egg was going to be. That way, if I was clicking and clicking for a long time, I could think "wow this is going to be a big one" and be encouraged to continue. I also think that if there was a way to view all of the words I had unlocked as well as the ones I hadn't yet (maybe displayed as ???? or something) it would be a major encouragement to continue playing and try and unlock cool or rare words. Like an eggcyclopedia. All in all, I think this is a really cool and unique use of the assets and it is well implemented here. Thanks for putting this out there!
I like your theme, I agreed with Ivory that this could fit in the pet game prompt. Besides that, I also feel that this could fit in the Non Human Perspective prompt as well haha. I would suggest that besides 100% randomness, you could add some mechanics for players to make progress for. Overall Great job!
I feel like this game could almost fit in last week's prompt too. I like your choice of asset and the way you group them together. The cracks looks realistic and the crying sound suprised me. One suggestion is that if you have more time working on this, maybe you change change the sprite a little bit acording to the different output, so that the players would feel like there are more outcomes than just changing the text. The sprite doesn't necessarily need to be something fit the text, maybejust even a color change would be better I guess? Nice work!
This felt like a gacha game almost, as I keep rolling games to see what I get! I do wish the egg cracked a lot easier, or if it had more feedback throughout, so the cracking process feels impactful to the player.
Smart way to use the given Assets (the text, the sprites and the baby crying sound). My only suggestion is to give more feedback for clicking the egg. The cracks only updates after certain amount of clicks, so maybe the egg could shake a little bit each time player click it just to give more feedback to players. Nice work!
